White Lilas (n°12), By M. A. Toulmouche, gives capital colours in the blue and red wich are supplied by its draperies in chief, the gown of a lady who enjoys the scent of flowers and the tablecloth on wich they stand. The textures are so hard as to affect unfavorably the richness of the pictures ; such hardness prevails in all parts of the work, wich is carefully modelled.
